Im looking for a used KA24E preferably a complete engine. With anything that can be given with it. Donations definately welcomed, ill pay the shipping of course. I have a very beat SOHC engine you can have here in St. Louis. I also have 2 DOHC engines. One running one with a bad head gasket. You can have them for the grand total of get them the hell out of my garage!!! LOL

To all those that dont like that im a cop: Try and understand that yes, i am a cop thats my job. i am also only 24, so i still know what its like to be young and have some fun. im not always on the job you know. STL240SX, you kinda brought on the backlash when you put your job in your topic title. I personally have no qualms with your chosen profession, though I fail to see how announcing it is pertinent info to your request of "project parts". So now you made your bed and its time to lay in it.

All that aside, perhaps you have a regional 240sx club in your area that you could check with? If you can "network" you're bound to find people in your area that can help you out.

everyones right, cops dont become cops to **** off young people and chase drifters and speeders

they go into that field to serve the community or whatever then their "bosses" or whatever place them to "chase" the young ones,

then after a few years they get used to it

then thats when they become gay

im sorry but i havnt had any real good experience with the police

and when i was 15 and DID get my *** beat by like 15 college guys, for walking home by myself from my girlfriends house at 12am past a house party with drunks, i called the cops, the cops came, asked me if im past my curfew, took me away, and didnt do anyhting to the other guys cuz they didnt have any "weapons"

Cops are not out to get you. They're out to do their job. If you give them a reason to bother you, they will. As far as quotas are concerned, if you ever find a police officer that tells you he has to write a certain amount of tickets to meet a quota, get his/her name and his/her supervisor's name (however told him to). Quotas for citations are illegal, and if you bring the matter up to the city council or mayor's office, I'm willing to bet that your ticket will be thrown out in short order.

Anyway, be amicable to STL240SX. Don't hate someone for their chosen profession. Unless they're Craig Leiberman.

Uhh, I hate to argue with a moderator, but look in this months SCC. They interview a cop and he admits about quotas. I quote "We don't have quota's per-say, but commanding officers are aware of how many tickets you are writing. If you write 20 tickets in a month and the other officers in your division are writing 300 then it's going to draw your commanding officer's attention." Now you can argue that it might mean that he isn't on the job all the time or something, but that's not what he said, he was talking about that you have to keep pretty much around what the other officers are doing. I have no respect for that. Not all cops are bad, but it's just like the old saying, "If you do good work for someone they will tell their friends. If you do bad work, they will tell everyone they know." IMO there are more cops that put on a badge and get a supiority complex then there are ones that treat people fairly. So that's how they get labeled. More cops should think about how they would want to be treated if it was them getting pulled over. There's my 4 cents for what it's worth.

i have a KA24DE that i'll let go cheap (needs intake tube and MAFS and wiring harness, and some random vacuum lines), but it's in NC. bad headgasket according to previous owner (bought car not running, yanked the KA and didn't really look into that much)

Stealthj-- I would love to be able to get an sr20det or the rb25det. However im not really sure i want to deal with the hassle of trying to keep either of those engines in peak condition. Getting parts for those are not only expensive, but from what i understand also semi difficult to find. Dont get me wrong i would love to have either of those engines, and i love the 240 enough to put in the work, but i put in so many hours between work and other things that im not sure id be able to put in the time that either of those swaps would entail.

As far as the job goes, no i dont go out to intentionally screw over anyone, ive always tried to keep a mutual respect between myself and everyone i come in contact with. If you treat them right, theyll be nice and civil in return.

some internet stores like enjku rascing usually stock parts though, so its not that bad, i have an extra cheap corolla with 230,000 miles on it whenever my 240 was in "downtime", so it all depends on if its ur daily drievr or not

i wouldent mind a week without a 240 for a rb25det, or a month to special ordr a missing part of the frotn clip
