I can feel a big difference in how my car pulls right at about 5,000-5,500 rpm.  Almost feels like a vtec from a honda (not to say its ANYTHING like a honda)  I've driven a lot of honda's and I actually feel a difference that rivals a prelude hitting vtec.  very odd??

btw, I have a 92' 240 5-speed.

Anyone else get this?  any explanations as to why?

I believe that has been traced to the swirl control valves opening up.

What rpm do the 2nd intake runners open up?

A handfull of Honda's use dual intake runners to boost up the air delivery, but in no way would I say it feels like VTEC.  The engagement is much more pronounced.

I would have to say, there's no feeling in the world like a T88 kicking in. &nbsp;Leaves you in the seat of your pants, and a perma-smile from ear to ear. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Its the KA's last effort at pulling hard, cause right after that it just gives up. &nbsp;Power right after that point falls off quickly. &nbsp;

Between the tip in retard, clutch fan disengagement, and the power surge at ~5k, and falloff after 6, this engine has way too many personalities within its rev range.
