help cutting springs?

I have the Eibach prokits with KYB AGX. The prokits are a very small drop. I want to cut them to make my car lower.

Is there a way I can cut them while on my car?
Also the top and bottom coil to a flat right, if I cut it the coil will be at an angle will that be a problem?

Any help would be great!

Cutting springs is a real hit or miss process that is best just not done.

Why not try to sell the springs you have now and by some with a ride height that you want?

If you just put them on, let them settle. Also dont' cut them, it's completely stupid. You'll do more harm than good and suspension travel is already limited as it is, more so w/ the drop. [loudspeaker voice]I repeat, do not cut your springs. You WILL regret it.[end loudspeaker voice] I you decide to do this against my caution, you will be doing this ----> :hammer: to yourself. Capiche. Search and learn young one. The red button is your friend.

bad idea bro when i bought my car it had cut springs in the front the ride was so harsh i started driving my car less and less then i bought the tein dampers and when you have cut springs you have poor tire contact and compromised handeling,in other words dont do it thank you n good luck

Once again, in case you didn't read the other four or so posts, do not cut your springs. If you really want more drop and these ones are unbearable, sell them and get a set of sportlines, they drop more than the pro kits.

hope you got new dampers along with your springs. if you go lower on stock dampers, have fun replacing blown shocks/struts.

i am wondering how long have you had the pro kits, you have to give them time to settle, once they settle, they will be lower, if your still not happy, go buy new springs, and try to get as much for your pro kits as you can, dont cut your springs, you have no idea what your doing, even ppl that know what they are doing still run the risk of killing themselves, its not a smart idea, thats what separates us from the honda ppl

If your really concerned with ride hight... get coilovers! You can get basic Tein dampers for not much more that prokits and new shocks. Hope this helps- cheers

What would be the cheapest/safest way to cut springs? I am also looking for a inexpensive way to lower my car. I'm planning on getting coilovers in the future, but I just want my shit to look clean for the time being.

You bumped a thread from 3 years ago to ask this? DO NOT CUT YOUR SPRINGS! Just save up the money and buy lowering springs, or if you plan to track the car, coilovers. DO NOT CUT YOUR SPRINGS! DO NOT BUMP DEAD THREADS!
