another sr knocking problem

installed an s13 sr20det into my s14, got it to start no problem, but there is a constant knocking at idle and gets faster and loudler to redline. thought it was the timing chain guides or loose chain. so i bought a compete timing chain kit from frsport. jus got done putting that in. (it was bitch by the way). and the knocking is still the there??? waht could it be??

also: rebuild the head while off new spings, retainners, valve guide, and valve guide seals. and yes i did bleed the lifters correctly

also: replaced oil pump head gasket and now use apr head

the knocking sounda lik it coming from the head . . .but waht do i kno . . ??

where is it coming from?? pls help?

The noise I've been getting is actually coming from the rocker arms but it's more of a ticking. Check those for any dents, grooves, etc.

Also check your turbo and make sure it hasn't had the back screws back out. Also check the exhaust to make sure it's not loose anywhere. I've heard of that creating this same noise.

id hate to say this cause that engine is clean but to me just from the video it sounds like a spun bearing (rod knock) i could be wrong, but it seemed to fast of a knocking to be a lifter or something. good thing is it didnt let loose and go out the side of the block. so maybe it would be nice you can refresh the engine now some new rings and seals and hone it out. but thats my opinion
