Test fitted the Gram Lights 57S on super hot car :D - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

first of all, these are my rims that and iEATrice was so kind enough to let me test fit them on his car, since i dont have all my 5 lug rotors here yet

...

second, keep in mind that we didnt lower iEATRice's car down because he rides on 18's and these rims are 17x8.5/17x9.5 et22 all around....fronts arent concaved really, but im still happy with the fitment....pretty flush as it sits kinda high, but will sit better on my car

tires are 215-40-17, 235-40-17, with miles of front Z32 caliper clearance, but barely any room between teh tire and front coilovers, about a 8-10 inches or more between rear tire and rear coilover....

i want to get 17x9.5 et22 235-40-17 for fronts, but i doubt they will fit....
the 17x8.5 et22 up front with 215-40-17 barely have a couple millimeters of clearance between inner rim/tire and the coilovers (i have Cusco's also)......I would have to buy over fenders for the fronts, and possible a 5-10mm spacer

worry about brake clearance, nto coilover clearance!
yeah the fenders is the money
vertex makes 15mm (i think its actually +12 though..i forget) wide front fenders (speedalliance.com rocks)

I actually prefer the 17" fitment now that I've tried these on my car. I'd like to get some 17x9.5's all around... but it would require some new fenders right? Dousan???

it will fit
9" easy up on s14, 9.5..right offset some camberroll da fenders, stretched tires. its extremely possible. just depends 'how much' you want it.
damn i can put 9" +15 on the FRONT of a s13 (with stretched tires and -2.75 degrees camber) and it fits 'great'. some might not the look of how it is but i think its hot

just depends what you want

I knew they would fit... but I think it might make sense to finish the rest of the car first... I mean engine wise since I'm still stock haha. I just can't make up my mind though... since my KA only has 65K on it... I really can't justify swapping for an SR yet. I'm really thinking Greddy turbo... but 6psi is weak... and then I'll have to build my bottom end... blah blah...

But yeah I got your message Aaron... it's cool... I ended up taking my GF down to Santa Cruz for some dinner and drove the 9 all the way home

Only got stuck behind one slow car!!!

the 57S has been available for a couple months now in the U.S., but certainly not in those sizes as i was told by Mackin....usually something that wide and relatively low offset would be special order...

i had to wait 3.5 months

the part that gets me is, the wheels were made and passed inspection 2 weeks after i placed the order! damn boat and customs
