Im in need of help. I have had my 240 for quite a while, recently had it rebuilt and drove great. One random day it decides to shut off while I was in motion. I did resarch and some testing, batery, alternator, and starter were all fine. I now have already replaced the distributor, wires, ignitor coil, ignitor module, and one knock sensor. It will run for a while during test drives and it was all great but it still shuts off randomly. Can anyone think of anything I havent checked?

try a different ECU, sounds to me that ECU could be bad.. just ask a buddy for his and try it.... it wont hurt or cost you anything..

check IAC or EGR. Stuck open Egr could cause this.. food for thought

What about a fuel pump? It does get fuel to the engine maybe its just going out.

either that or the fuel filter is clogged
