I have been told it is better to install while on the ground, forget the reason, but it seemed like a very logical reason, not just a becuz I said so thing.
Look on www.nissanperformancemag.com its in there somewhere.

The different b/w having a bar and not having one OR a no name brand vs. a brand name?? I could feel the different for having a bar and not having one, definitely feel it. As for the brand name bar, i wouldn't know. I guess not much. But you can try, if you have money to spend buying both kinds.

mine feels awesome, i have one of those cusco's in the rear, and in the front and it feels so good. I can swing my car any witch way when i want, and I feel more stable when changing lanes quickly on the freeway.

Its a subtle difference, but its definately there. I put both of mine on at the same time, so i can't speak specifically about the rear bar though.
the best description i've heard is: It helps the car settle into turns quicker. You should notice it when you first start turning, especially if you turn quickly. Without the bars, there is a little transition phase before the car feels completely stable, the bars eliminate that. And no, like they said, don't jack up the car to put it on.
