Totally cool aftermarket exhaust hangers
Hello gentlemen,
What are some fancy aftermarket hangers that are not the stock ones with hose clamps around them? That is what I have been using, but I am in the process of de-poor-personalizing my car. I know of the polyurethane hangers that come in all colours and get sold under different brands such as Cusco, Circuit Sports, Top Speed, etc. They were what I was planning to purchase, but then I read that they may increase noise, and I have heard urban myths of them breaking/bending hangers on exhausts or the frame of low cars whose exhausts come in contact with the ground regularly. Can anyone confirm this? Then are the Nismo ones. I like them, because I like parts that are somewhere in between stock and race car. I am strongly considering purchasing them, because spending 80$ on four hangers would be very John Hammond of me. Are there any others that I am not aware of? Thank you. |

Dude what about new oem ones. I mean they are exhaust hangers. I replaced my old worn out POS ones with new ones and everything is rock solid, doesnt sag, and looks well normal. Save your money.

I am running poly hangers. No problems here, no additional noise either. I run a fat piece of shit 3in Apexi N1 Dual and it made it sit a bit higher.

Try Walker or Bosal or Dynomax exhaust hangers. I assume the OEM ones would work fine, thats what I use. The Nismo ones say they are "harder rubber" so that may reduce noise or vibration more effectively.

I got the top speed ones. Got rid of my rubbing rattles and my tip is now centered and aligned in the bumper cutout.
ProTip: I microwaved them for 30-60 sec before installing each one. Work fast and they pop right on.

At my local Autozone they have generic H-style rubber hangers. They are like $6 a piece, replaced all mine and it smoothen'd up my ride nicely.
Note: The holes are slightly smaller so you will need to use soapy water and some force to punch them through, but all in all cheap and efficient alternative route for you.

I have these I wanna say i got the 12mm but that was about 3 years ago, they work great and hold it up nicely and I didnt notice any extra noise and the hangers didnt break on my apexi, if the exhaust hits the exhaust would just go up because it does still have some sag so they compress a little |

WD40 is a dispersant not a lubricant. But, the real reason is I don't want any dirt accumulating on/in them.

The correct method would be having the interior of the vehicle sound-proofed and run no exhaust system at all. This will prevent "scraping" of the exhaust and provide other drivers on the road with wonderful noises from your 2.4 Litre power plant.

hangers
To be honest with you, you don't want to spend money on brand name hangers. I had the cusco ones and they broke like garbage. Now I'm using hangers that I bought from Pepboys, and they work just fine. Save your money for more important things.

Ah, that is unfortunate. I believe the Cusco ones are the same as Circuit Sports, Top Speed, etc., since they all even have the same part number stamped on them.
I guess I will just go with the Nismo ones. I already purchased some fancy overpriced Nissan exhaust gaskets, so I might as well go all out. ![]() Quote:
On another note, there are radical yellow urethane hangers on Ebay at the moment: JDM SUZUKI SWIFT CULTUS GTI GT RACING EXHAUST HANGER NR | eBay I have also seen green and purple before. |

What do the double-thickness ones look like? I know the universal 'H' hangers are actually what came on 240's from the factory. I replaced two or three of mine with new ones from Advance Auto a couple years ago, but I still used hose clamps on the two front hangers. It is always nice to have the exhaust as high up as possible.
I just ordered a set of the Nismo ones. I bet I will end up putting hose clamps on them anyway. ![]() |

3A Racing/GM, Honda and Acura exhaust insulator (62-00901) | Exhaust Hanger | AutoZone.com Used that on the resonator mounts of my Prelude and once we let the jack down (we jacked it up into position) it literally gave less than half of an inch. Good stuff.

But after scraping over and over and over, it broke the welds on the actual hangars.

C.S. for me match with my greddy exhaust !!!
Fiment is spot on ! Centered in the bumper , no rattle and i could actualy step in the exhaust(tip/canister) and the suspension would compresse before the exhaust moving

I have the china sport ones, and they work fine, but I actually want to use clamps around it, because I notice that they sag a little bit more than they did before.

They make these. Look at my post above, I linked them from Autozone. I used them and they're great.
