idle problem

i notice that on my de engine after i warm it up the revs drop between 300-500 rpms and then go back up. this also happens if i say rev it to like 2k rpms. they will drop and go back up again and then down and up. another thing i noticed that could be related to this is that when i rev high up in the rpm range and shift through the gears then when i start slowing down and put it in neutral my rpms drop really really low to like 100 rpms and sumtimes it shuts off on me and turns back on again. wat can cause this im afraid that it'll turn off on me on the highway and something might happen?

I'm fucking drunk but I got some answers for ya so listen up son!!! On my intake manifold, there is this valve called the AAV valve or something like that and it has an electrical connection. I think it's purple and it's on the back of the manifold towards the firewall. If you unplug it, it might help your idle problem. It did for me. The only problem is that you have to rev up your engine on startup so it doesn't die.

i had a similar problem and heres how u go about fixin it.... sound to me like ur engine is having trouble delivering fuel, because when u go to higher rpms ur motor will consume more fuel and it sounds like there is not enough comming back to the engine to replace that extra fuel burned, so start out by changing the filter, and if that dosnt help replace the fuel pump... all of this should cost u maybee 100-120bucks at auto zone for the parts, the pump also has warranty on it... after this u should be all set...

I not sure if my fuel filter had anything to do with it but my idleing problem has gone away. Stuped shit comes and goes, my car was non-driveable for a week!! then the day i was gona change out the fuel filter it stalled on me once and thats it?!!?!? I drove like 20 miles and it was perfect, so i changed it out anyways and problem hasent come back!?!?? not sure if it had anything to do with it but problem is gone for the moment...
