she was totalled last night...

I was coming home from a bboying session... Northbound on Vermont making a left on Santa Monica. the light was still green, and i see this white car make a lane change towards the curb (oncoming on the other side of the intersection), so i wait. Light turns yellow i give a little gas, light turns red i start turning. i look towards the lane i'm turning into... and i get hit, and i see my hood bend in half in front of me, covering half of my windshield......

I turn into the side of a bus stop, unlock the door.... and see the asshole take off... fucking hit and run... and there I am, standing in a pool of coolant shaking from shock, wondering wtf to do next. Thankfully the people at the busstop took down the plate number and a sheriff rolled by 2 minutes later. now i half to deal with insurance...

She was my baby... but i'm not injured. My uncle's tow truck took her away this morning to his house, where i'll be taking off the stuff i put on her... Total loss. Maybe i'll post pics later

dude your lucky it was a hit and run because you said your light was red, but since the guy ran even if it was your fault you still get your whole car payed for and you dont have to argue with anybody(except maybe about how much money you should get)

He was making a left turn under the red light. In essence, the guy ran the red light and hit him (if I understand this correctly). I had the same shit happen to me a few years ago. But stupid NY state with their NO FAULT collisions... grr...

At least you're okay in the end. And due to the fact the guy ran after hitting you... doesn't look good for him.

I've come to the conclusion that, no matter how much something may suck, things happen for a reason. Keep your head up, buy another 240, and do what ya need to do.

DMC : yah... if ur making a left turn at a busy intersection, u pull past the line and wait for no cars or for when the light changes (at least out here in jersey). if u don't go you'll be in the middle of intersection blocking traffic... it sounds like the light changed red so he went, but some jerkoff was trying to beat the yellow/red and hit him. what echo was doing wasn't running a red, he was doing what you are supposed to do. it's totally the other guys fault.
