the clock, head unit, etc. always reset when i turn the car on. None of the interior lights come on until i turn the key. The interior ceiling light wont come on when you open the door, you have to have the key on

Did you do any kind of wiring in your car? We need to know, what was done prior to this happening, sounds like it's on a switched 12v source instead of a constant 12v

i bought the car with this problem, the car has battery relocated to trunk, the only thing i could think of is the sr20 wiring harness was messed with when it was swapped

i dont want to steal your thread but i kinda have the same issue, nothing in my car comes on untill the key is turned on, but unlike yours everything in mine stays on untill i disconect the battery, the engine runs and shuts off fine but everything else doesnt

mine is a 90 s13 with a dohc swap from a 92 and relocated battery, i had this problem after doing the swap and battery relocate, i also tucked the engine bay wiring which i dont think has an affect since i didnt cut anything, i have done 5 dohc swaps and never had this problem

coupekid does anything come on when you open the door? like the dash lights for the doors or auto seatbelts?

I got the same issue im the cause of my problem though ill try to make a long story short I connected the two wire together that run into the cigarette lighter and all the wire that connect from there all the way to the fuse box inside the car by the door got fused together don't know if that helped anyone >.<

sounds like the same problem i have without my extra issues, im thinking it might be a relay somewhere, anyone know if the relays are all the same in the 240s? they all have the same diagram on top
