![]() so recently i put in a welded diff, but taking out the old diff was a pain, and heres what happened,
the left bolt that held in the bushing and bolted to the subframe had been stripped and it just spun in place and i had no time so i had to cut the head off the bolt, so now ive got a stripped bolt with no head stuck inside there and idk how to remove it. can someone please point me in the right direction or help me on this cause idk what i can do to get this thing out. id like to be able to run both bushings instead of one on my diff. thanks |

I can think of three ways
1) Big vise grips- clamp on it hang on it and turn 2) weld a bar on the bottom end to make it look like a an upside down "T" Pull and twist EDIT: 3) cut off flush, drill out and re-tap threads

+ 1 for vise grips or the T handle ...if you can get a hold of a small blow torch I would heat the part of the bolt where it screws in that should help it out too, O and if it's a little rusty spray some PB blaster on it that stuffs awsome! Good luck man!!

or you can go to a muffler shop and have them weld a nut at the end and use the correct size wrench/socket to take it out. done this a few times with broken exhaust studs.
