Since the vlsd output shaft on the s13 is a little shorter and has the hog ring on it (vs in the pumpkin) it looks like something I can machine regular output shafts to fit.
This is the vlsd shaft in question:

can someone who has a vlsd laying around spare 5 minutes to get some actual dimensions for me?
I need:
entire length of splined section of shaft to the base (not the dust cover ring or entire assembly)
as well as the approximate distance to centerline of the hog ring slot from the top.

I want to attempt to machine open shafts to fit a vlsd center. I think it should be easily done. And no, buying new ones from the dealership is not the easier option. Thanks!
