Suspension Prices for S13
Well Missouri roads have finally killed my shocks, and it is time to find a replacement. I am still undecided about coilovers vs a good spring shock combo, so I have decided to put together a table that shows what I can get for the price.
I would like your help with this, if you see anything in the attached table that is wrong, or if you know of another vendor that sells any of the products, please post and let me know. Also, you will see that I left out Apex'i, HKS, and Zeal coilovers. This is because I didn't find a lot of information on them, so if you know any of the specs on any comparable coilovers please post that as well. I am not really seeking opinions about which set up would be good for me, I will make that final decision myself, but if you happen to have any 1st hand knowledge on what makes a good daily driver/autoX setup, let me know. Oh, and in case any companies get mad, these are the prices as seen on the vendor's webpages on Friday, Jan 30th 2004 and could be misplaced a cell or two.

nah, it shouldn't be FAQ'd. The prices probably change too much from time to time. Also, its not complete...
![]() ![]() if the AGX's can handle that spring rate, that might be a good cheap alternative to coilovers -Matt

Have a little extra time on your hands, Rennen?
No, I'm not cracking wise, it really would take me two months to create that. THX!!!

ok.. well i will post some info on the zeals then...
this info will be for the nissan s13 240sx... with us specs.. for all zeals the front upper mounts are pillow ball type while as the rear are just aluminum rigid.. they are 6 way adjustable and very easy to see your adjustments..not a clicking system but actual number systems. all zeals shocks are monotube with either 42-46 mm piston sizing dependig on car... first off.. there is the baseline zeal b2 coilover.. their msrp is 1658 and you have a choice of either 6/5k spring rate for street or 8/7k spring rate for track.. the shell casing is spring type and is single height adjust by raising and lowering the spring seat lock. they run a Id60 basic spring Zeal function b6 are 2142.00 and their springs rates are 6/5 or 8/7... they aresingle monotube with free div piston (go figure) the shell casing is chromoly coated steel and runs a id60 basic spring as well.. but these bad boi's are double adjustable.. like tein he or jic flta2 zeal Function V6 list for 2237.99 and they are also 6/5 or 8/7...they are identical to the s6 except that the front is inverted. zeal function s6 list for 2500 and are also 6/5 or 8/7 but they use id60 swift springs which are supposed to be better than the basic..and the shell casing is all aluminum with double height adjust. zeal function d list for 2600 and are 9/6 spring rates.. they use id60 swift springs .. front is inverted and the shell casing is chromoly coated steel front and rear is aluminum Then The racer / Most expensive is the super function they list for 2720.00 and have a spring rate of 10/8k using id60 swift springs. They have pillow ball front and rear and are all aluminum but these are meant for track use only... with all zeal products bought through a us distributor of endless usa they come with a 1 yr warranty card.. the coilovers are already assembled and set to endless usa's recomended ride height. the coilovers if anything were to happen to them are rebuilt in the usa.. and can be done very quickly ... ok that is all i have to say... without getting tooo biased cause i sell them...

Josh, thanks a lot for the great info. Can't see the pdf file? hmm, well its just the coilover type, spring rate, and dampening adjustability in a simple excell chart, then it has all the vendors I could find, and their prices. Most of the coilovers are in my list are in the sub $1600 range, so most of Zeal's line is too hardcore for me. BTW, does your company have a website? The only other vendor I could find for Zeal coilovers was raretrick.
Anyone have info on A'pexi Worldsport or N1 coilovers, or HKS's Hypermax? Those seem to be comparable in price. Also, I am still trying to find a place stateside that sells KGMM brand springs, seems all the places that used to don't exist anymore. I updated the chart with the Zeal info from Josh, I will post an updated one later when I can get some more data. -Matt
