Buying new tires 215/50/15 or 215/60/15?

My friend just gave me a set of them 92 se wheels, tire are worn out but the stock size is 205/60/15 i believe. I plan to up it to 215 but should i get 50 or 60? the falken ze something doens't offer 55. what do you guys suggest? if you have pics that would be great also. By any chance would 225's fit? i have tein tie rods.. will that cause a problem with the increased steering angle. Thanks

a 215/50 would be a good setup...but 205/60 is really probably the best for the stock wheels. they are only 6" wide. you could see about a 205/55 if it's available.

most important thing here is the tire compound itself. what tire are you going with? the difference from 205 to 215 is fairly negligable, and all you're really going to get is more bulge on the sidewall. the actual tread width won't change much at all.

give us some more info.

I'm was using 205/55/15 on my stocks. Worked the best for me. 60 is a really tall and sloppy tire.

dont flame me for this but i really dig the wide tire deal. i'm getting these http://www.falkentire.com/tires/512_infopg.htm for wholesale price since my friend works at NTB. I guess what i'm saying is what is the widest width i can go with that wont rub and would it look too beefy with 60. Thanks for your input
