different nissan gear ratios

i'm trying to find out what gear ratio nissan had that was actually shorter than our 4.08:1 s13 diffs that had lsd on it.

also can anyone confirm that r34 skyline's have 3.55:1 final drive. thank you

Both the 3.90 and the 3.55 are LONGER, not shorter. You would need a 4.3, 4.6, or a 4.9, all shorter. The CA 180sx came with a 4.3.

Vapor is correct. but if you really want longer gears (numerically lower) the J30 diffs and Z32 NA were 3.9 search Fresh alloy... someone did a writeup with all the diffs that fit and their ratios

hold on. nobody set anything about lower gears, i said shorter gears.

Vapor you answered my question. the Ca 180sx is the only R200 diff that has shorter gears than the 4.08:1..

the reason i'm asking is that someone is hooking me up with a diff and axles at a very good price and he says it's from a skyline and he says the gears are shorter. when i researched the skyline diff, it says the r34 has 3.55:1 gears which would mean the gears are longer. I'm just trying to verify what car the diff is coming off of....now that i have this info i dont think i want it seeing as the CA 180's haven't been built for a while and it's probably got high mileage on it.
