SR SAFC Deceleration Setting help

I programmed my safc to work with the atmospheric BOV i have. However, on a cold start, it idles very bad, and if i dont give it gas, it will stall.
When the engine is warm, then my car idles just fine, no problems whatsoever. My only problem is cold-starts in the morning, or during the day if i park somewhere for a while.

My car is an s14 w. a redtop
My current DECEL - Air readings are as follows:

Thr - .9%
NE1 - 1.4
NE2 - 1.9
Thanks in advance for anyone that can help.

I just played with the NE1 % untill the cold start idle was bareable. Around 2.3+ worked for my hacked MAF KAT. With the S-AFC and an open atm BOV you're pretty much stuck with either crappy cold start idle or dead idle after deceleration. It's hard to find a happy medium....

Cool, thanks for the quick reply.

I know its possible, because a friend of mine had it on his setup, but he doesnt remember what he had for that setting. (he sold the s-afc and got a power FC)

what is your complete readings?

Thr?
ne1 - you said was 2.3
ne2?

IIRC, it says on the manual that ne1 must be less than ne2

thanks again in advance

I'm not sure if the manual said what it was supposed to say... there's a lot that seems lost in translation.

My NE2 was set to like .5 or something. The settings I used most were like:
Thr: 0.4%
NE1: 2.5%
NE2: 0.5%

It will most likely be a bit different for your car, though.

I'm running a KAT. NE1 = 1000rpm, NE2 = 3000. I'd rather have them closer together but I did this for more resolution up top where I need it more (SAFC II v. 1)

okay, i pretty much tried re-tuning it...basically until the idle doesnt bogg on me anymore..and it seems you cant get it somewhere in the middle..you're right...when i deacelerate...it still sort of hops down rpms, then goes to where it belogs...but its not as bad as before...

im gona keep trying to fine tune...i didnt get to really do it well because by the time i was getting somewhere with the tuning, the engine warmed up...hopefully i can solve this by tonight

I always wondered, why not place the MAF on the cold pipe, after the BOV, that way is not metering the air that being vented?
