Why do you drift/race cars?

i am currently writting a research paper on extreme/action sports and the pyschology/culture of its particpants. i not only race cars but participate in many other "extreme sports" and i am curious to know what reasons, other than my own, on why people take part in these activities...

so in short, why do you guys drift? (i will use some of these responses in my paper, assuming zilvia can hold back its asshole tendencies)
