open differential woes
Now I know this is common but I think I may have a larger problem.
My right (passenger side) rear tire constantly spins when turning or lightly "launching" the car. (by launching i mean by pulling out of my parking lot into traffic in a normal manner). I'm running stock KA with SPEC stage 2 clutch and 245's in the rear. Theres no way that tire should be spinning as freely as it does. When powersliding/ drifting, smoke pours from it. My car is aligned, air pressures set, etc etc. Why is this happening? |

I know that when I drove a really high mileage 240sx (205K) the open diff just seemed worn out like what you described. In the rain you couldnt even look at the accelerator pedal funny or it would spin the right tire forever. Like there was absolutely no power at all getting to the other axle.
