s13 whistling in 1st gear

so im driving along and i hit the gas and i notice that my car has a loud whistle in 1st gear but it only happens once i pass 3000 rpm.. it doesn't make the sound in second or thirds or when i down shift.
what the hell could it be its driving me nuts

It could be a lot of things. I get plenty of gear noise from my drivetrain that can only be heard at certain times. Sherical bearings and solid bushings help to amplify it. What kind of suspension do you have? Where is the sound coming from? You gotta be more descriptive if your going to get any help.

it sounds like the sound is coming from the right front and it sounds like someone is in a tunnel and they whistel real loud it only happens in first gear. above 3000 rpm

Maybe it's a cracked vacuum line.

all the vaccum lines seem ok..
so i doubt its that could it be the alternator perhaps because i noticed some corosion on the positive battery terminal..
