![]() After weeks and weeks, my car is running (89 240sx). Changing the fuel pump, intake gasket, exhaust manifold gasket, head gasket (I always wanted to change this one), valve cover gasket, bad #1 fuel injector, the car runs fine. I'm kind of scared to run it. But the compression is good.
Before it blew white smoke: cylinder 1-120, 2-150, 3-150, 4-150 after all the changes: cylinder 1 through 4 is 179 The one thing that also happened, my timing chain skipped on the sprocket, so I changed the timing back to original. I might need a new chain, tensioner. The engine light is on now. I just checked the ecu, it gave me an error code of leaking injectors (#45). Maybe cause I change the #1 fuel injector with one I hocked from the neighborhood pick in pull from an old Stanza with a ka24e motor. In due time, I will get some new ones. I just need some new rear tires and drive it. I would like to say it pays to study up and look for all the information before you do the job, service manual and forum info are your best friends. Thanks to a few who helped me out on this forum! I'm happy, cause it works! |
