Got my new coilovers

Kei Office XT-a. These are their new line. Inverted shock design, 16 way adjustable and separate height and preload adjustments. Camber plates are included and helper spring in the rear. Spring rates are 9/8. Set up with no preload for now with ~2.5" drop for now. These are just like their d1 spec model except that they have different valve settings and they have a rubber bushing instead of a solid metal one at the top of the shocks. These are some high end coilovers. I got them for $1700 with 2500 miles on them. The car really feels like it can harness the power of the sr soooo much better now! They ride very nicely and really tighten up the car. Even with no preload there is no roll. Props to James D. at Driftspeed.com for hooking it up!

You bought coilovers used without pillowball mounts for $1700? You got ripped the fuck off. I'd pay a max of $800 for those.

Yeah but he said that they have a rubber bushing instead of a solid metal one. I've never seen a camber plate like this but apparently there is rubber up there so that would mean there aren't pillowballs up there, right? All I know is that he got ripped.

They came with pillowball mounts. They have 2500 miles and were on an AUTOMATIC bone stock s14. I saw them on the car before I bought them. The rubber bushing is on the spring seat. The d1 spec has a metal bushing on the spring seat so it's really harsh. Good luck finding kei office coilovers for $800.

Man you guys are just a bunch of a$$holes. Sounds like you're either too cheap to buy kei office or you can't afford them. I don't think I got screwed and that's all that matters. If you wanna laugh at me behind my back wow that makes you a real cool person haha.

wait wait wait, let me see if i've got this straight. Your reasoning behind ripping yourself off is KAZAMA WON A SINGLE ROUND OF D1 WITH THEM? Well, that changes everything, they're worth $1209837129837019283 if someone won a round of D1 with them. Its not like the skill of the drivers mean anything, he definitely won because he had those coilovers. Anyway, back to reality, I bet he could've done the same thing with MOST coilovers..

Since Kazama won the d1 using these I'm saying that they are good quality coilovers. What, you think you can win the d1? hahaha Who the hell are you anyway? I didn't see you competing at the d1. The only thing you could probably do with tein's kei office or whatever is crash you car

If you think I got ripped off it's a free country and you can have an opinion. If you wanna call me stupid for buying those coilovers let's meet up some where and say it to my face, dumb a$$

must mean these are the only good quality coilovers on the market... shit maybe everyone else should take it up the ass to obtain a used set of these coilovers for almost $2k when there are many different options avilable to get a NEW set of coilovers for the same price. Are you using them for your daily driver? I sure hope you aren't because I bet we are going to see them in the classified section soon.

if you're gonna support your purchase by saying that "kazama won d1 with them" then i guess advertising companies would want your name and number.

btw. we don't like meeting other guys in person from forums. we like girls (well most of us)

that was quite lame dude, especially your whole tough guy thing at the end there. So since Kazama won A ROUND of D1 with these coilovers, they are worth the $1700 USED. Oh ok, it makes sense now.

Oh by the way,

http://jspec.com/keiofficexr.html

$1980 BRAND NEW AND SHIPPED BITCH

now are you still going to justify spending $1700 on USED kei office coilover's with weird logic, or realize that your money would have been better spent on other options that would have left you with brand new coilovers?

"$1980 BRAND NEW AND SHIPPED BITCH" Talk about tough guys? HAHA

Lighten up guys. Jeeze, 240sx owners are cheap sons of b!tches. Maybe some people have more money to lay down on their car than just $1700 for a set of coilovers at one time.

You don't believe me how cheap 240sx owners get? Work at a shop and they'll say they can get anything cheaper on a group buy or *gasp* ebay. Fine, go buy it on a group buy or ebay, but you don't really build a relationship with a shop. I'm not sure how driftspeed is, but say you run into a problem, usually a local shop is more willing to help you out than some online seller. I don't know what his intention is or how much these coilovers are worth, but instead of talking about a price tag, why not discuss the performance of them?

Nice buy Norm, 1700 is a bit excessive for my taste. I'm a starving college student on a low budget setup, H&R/Koni..
