Littering ticket
Does anyone know how much a littering ticket can cost? I'm up in the NJ area and got hassled for throwing a couple white castle boxes into a parking lot.

400-1000
although it's not a good idea. last time i was a stop light there was some car littering outside his car. the next thing you know the cop right in back of him says in his speakerphone "pick it up" really loud.... the guy didn't notice the cop so pokes his head out the window and sees hime....well the cop turned on his siren after the guy picks it up... |

Sucks...I think here it might be 100-500 + possible community service if I'm reading this ordinance right. I actually did pick it up though. Looks like no Zigens anytime soon.

go to court and ask the judge to give you lienancy(sp?). sometimes they will help you out and give you community service instead. just plead and dress appropriately, not a suit and tie but something appropriate.

i got a littering ticket a couple months back. i got out of it without court fee's or fines...just community service. but don't expect to be as lucky as me, i got off easy because i was the only one in the court room who found it respectable to dress up for court.
