s13 bubble flare question

Im currently deployed overseas, but will be picking up a s13 coupe as my drift project when i get home. (decided my BRZ is too nice to slide regularly)

im interested in doing bubble flares over say overfenders. what are the benifits of both? i know they vary in size ect. question is do u cut the fender out underneath the bubble or is it strictly to cover a wider tire?

any help would be appreciated.

you cut the fender/wheel wells with both flares and overfenders

Basically looks, basically comes down to how u plan to make the car look, also with over fenders I believer there is a wider array of sizes so getting the wheels to line up is a bit easier and widens your choices for wheel sizes ect
