SR wire sparkling behind SR20 [video inside]

SR20DET Redtop wire ground sparks problem - YouTube
wtf?

any idea what this means? looks like a ground wire but that looks not good

its the wire behind the redtop right where the rest of the engine loom goes

it must be this wire (RED ARROW)

Attatch it to the cylinder head, NOT the firewall. There is a bolt hole for it on the backside of the head near the valve cover gasket to the intake camshaft.

I remember once, after an engine swap, I started the engine and it was misfiring and running poorly. I heard a noise like "TAP TAP TAP" coming from the back of the engine.

It was that wire, sparking against the cylinder head. It should have been bolted to the head, but this was my first or second swap so I didnt know any better.

WELL, with the engine still running, I noticed the situation and decided I would just grab it and bolt it down properly...

... ZAP!!!!
