Fender flare or pull

I want a very clean almost stockish look, a little more than a pull but less then a fender flare, what do you guys suggest. Also if I plan on molding a flare into the body, get rid of rivet holes and paint match, is one kind of flare better than another?

I suggest you hire someone.... I dunno...... Someone in the business of rolling and pulling fenders.

Why are you worried about doing a minor stock-like pull if you're going to mold on flares?

Metal vented fenders will be custom only. I have yet to see any one who makes a production vented metal fender.

Those are two massively different things. Massively different amounts of work.
Like I said, why are you concerned about pulling it if you're just going to cut all that metal off and molding fenders on?

I'm doing one or the other, not both, I'm asking how far can you really pull a fender. And is there one flare that is better for molding.

or he can attempt the pull and if he screws it up then cut it out and mold some fenders on

Hmm, overfender or pull... How exactly did this thread find its way into tech?

If you want a clean look, cut & pinch-weld the rear fenders up to the body line and have 30mm overfenders molded on. The finished result looks damned near OEM with a bit more pleasing lines and a whole new world of wheel selection. With pulling, you can only go so far before it starts looking like smashed ass. Wider front fenders are generally only made in FRP or carbon fiber from what I know... Metal ones may need to be custom made.

Best advice ever already given: consult a professional for your 'real' options.

This is a perfect example of quality work done by a professional.
If you want these kind of results, drop your car off at a legitimate custom shop, along with a check.

Dude I know, I'm gettin other work done to, my question wasn't should I glue these to my car and spray paint them. I'm obviously going to have them done at a body shop

You may have missed brndck's point. You load them up in the passenger seat or back seat/trunk area; drive the car to the body shop... hand the guy the keys, tell him what you want done and pick it up & pay when he tells you it's ready.

Still not answering my question. Which ones do I buy??? Is there a fender that is designed to be molded? Or do I just buy any and "take it to a professional certified shop" and have them fill the holes? I know certain things won't stick to eachother that's why I'm asking, I'm sure for example frp is easier to mold than eBay plastic. So, Is there a specific flare for molding, or will any one work.

Before and after paint for my roll and pull - fenders are Gay (unless youre doing custom metal) - but you wont.

asking people their OPINIONS on here is useless, contact a PROFESSIONAL shop if you have questions...

Why don't you tell us what you're doing to the car, and why you need these modifications done?

Ex: I drive a ____. My wheels are this big/wide. I want to run this tire size.

Which body modification do I need?

It sounds like you're not sure about what you're doing or why you're doing it, short of saying you did it because it was something to do.

Just because theres an expensive method of doing something does not make it the only correct method. ive rolled countless fenders with a baseball bat. Never fucked up or heard a complaint. Its just as simple if you're not semi-retarded.

I drive a s13. My wheels are 17x9 +12 front 17x9.5+12 rear. Right now I run 225s with way to much camber in the rear so I don't rub. I would like the option to run bigger tires if I liked, also if I ever go 5 lug and get new rims I want some room for Mabey 18s . I'm just asking for some ideas, I never said should I buy 65mm or 20mm fenders, cause I know that all depends on the wheel specs

First off, 17x9.5 +12 with a 225 tire is not that much in the rear. There is no way that you need excessive camber to make those fit. I ran 17x10 +18 rpf1 with 235/45 with only 3 degrees of camber, and I ran 18x10.5 +30 with 265/35 without adding camber so I call BS on that.

If you're worried about rubbing, a roll and minor pull will be more than enough for you to run 255 or even 265 tires on that size wheel in the rear.

You should be able to fit that size wheel and tire with a standard roll. I don't see the problem.

if you want to run a wider tire then roll your fenders the right way and get a higher offset wheel. thats all you really need to do. if you aren't trying to be all 'stanced' then you can buy wheels that fit your car with your desired tire size. your car has 100 different options to get to what you want so what you really need to do is figure out exactly what it is you desire then read more about it and figure it out. it isnt that difficult when you're on one of the biggest websites with informatin pertaining to the vehicle you own. seriously, do some research and make an educated decision on how to plan and go about what you want.

i say start with having your fenders rolled and go from there. it makes a world of difference.

Just pull it slowly, little by little. Fitting the wheels and tires your talking about shouldn't put you into the danger zone for dimpling your quarter panel. Just roll the fender lip flat and then pull the fender in small increments. I fit 18x9.5 +12's with 225/40's on my coupe with just a roll and very small pull.

I respectfully beg to differ sir- but only based on my personal experience and not from some worldly knowledge of wheels/offsets which I clearly do not have lol. I run 17 x 9 all the way around... +13 rear, +15 front. Anything larger than 255's would cause it to rub when the suspension flexed... Initially, I had the body shop do a minor pull... but even then it didn't clear once I went to 265's or 275's in the rear. Ultimately, I went with a cut/pinch weld and a 30mm widebody kit... As MOST of us in this thread know, 30mm is not nearly as big as it sounds; and the look when properly done looks like OEM with a little nicer curvature.

OP: Here is my 180SX with 30mm rear fenders & 20mm fronts:



Bottom line... Regardless of baseball bat pull, widebody etc... It's all about getting the look and options you want and not making it look like shit in the process. Talk to a professional!

No this was Carissma LLC in Orlando , eastwood roller (no bats or pipes)
He does pretty nice stuff - went as aggressive as i could stand for the tires to fit ect (still rub on big bumps ect)

18x9.5 +15 (235)
10x10.5 +15 (275) (I wana do 305's)
