s14 OBX header installed some Q's

I just installed an obx race header for my 96 240sx. The only thing i dont understand is it sounds soooo loud like a open header car. Could this be that i didnt tighten the exhaust to the header good enough? I notice there is a gap in between the header and exhaust so im guessing thats whats making all the loud noise. I also wasnt able to screw in the egr tube since it doesnt match up perfectly and my second o2 underneath the car doesnt fit either. Could this be the problem? If it does turn out that i didn bolt the header to the exhaust correctly and retighten it would it make the car sound more smooth and raspy rathere then that open header sound? Any help will be great, thanks.

well my friend it sounds like u have some exhuast leaks... if the is a gap between the header and the engine, and u didnt screw on the EGR tube then of coarse it's gonna sound like an open exhaust which equals "ALL BAD!"

my friend just installed an obx in his '95 and he got the egr in up until 3 threads were showing, then it wouldn't go in any further. for the 2nd O2 sensor he had to get a reducer for it to fit.

obx=crap. With the car running feel for any exhaust leaking with your hand.

I totally agree OBX is crap, i freaking got frustrated and put back on my stock header. Im gonna file a complaint to obx of how crappy their products are im so dissapointed and wish i should of saved up for a hotshot header instead. This is the first time ever that i got a cheap product on my car and totally regret it. From now im gonna stick to my gut feeling about buying cheap brands.
