Remove a silencer from a muffler
I bought a Kakimoto exhaust setup for my Z and the muffler has a silencer stuck in it. Before you ask, yes, the screw is out.
![]() ![]() I tried heating it up and spraying WD-40 in between the silencer and the muffler tip, but after doing it 4-5 times it is still as stuck as it was when I started. I also tried using a blind hole puller from autozone, but it just marred the hell out of the inside lip of the silencer because it wasn't big enough. I really want to get it out because its a huge restriction on the whole system. Any ideas what I could do? My friend suggested cutting the bottom apart and spreading it to get it loose, but I don't want to cut my exhaust up |
