how long will the ka24de block last

hey
i just put in the ka24de in my 90 and it has 168000 miles on it. i was planning on running it for a couple thousand more miles and rebuilding it. im planning on oem pistons, rings, rods, gaskets, etc. if i change everything will the engine act like new or will the block give away? i really dont wanna get a new block cause i just got this engine. also, will the auto engine harness work on my 90 manual? thanks

what is stock boost on a car that never had a turbo? i've never heard of a KA block cracking so you should be fine. just re-hone the cylinders for the new pistons.

why do you want to waste the time and money to rebuild a good engine with stock parts? just turbo it till it blows then rebuild it six million dollar man style, better, faster, stronger.

i was planning to run 6-7psi for a while so i thought topline oem parts would be cheaper. how much does it cost to rehone the cylinders?

just do a compression test, and if everything's cool, slap a turbo on it. Use a MBC on it to keep the boost down to ~3-4psi. Until you get some fuel and engine management, keep it down. Your stock internals will be fine with proper tuning. TY Yap of Arizona has had a 300+whp KA24DE setup for years now, and it's ultra reliable.

Block is iron..im sure it'll be okay. Other parts will give way before you 'crack your block'

hmm i think im just gonna run n/a until my pistons or rods let go and then turbo it with oem replacements running 6-7 pounds of boost. the engine has 168k on it should i replace the timing chain soon? im going to willow springs on the 10th but im not sure if my timing chain will stay in place.

Why get oem replacements? Spend an extra few hundred dollars and do it right. Replace chain and tensioner before you boost. Get the upgraded chain while you're at it, it's an expensive piece though.
