so i replaced my 100a fuse and right when i turn the key to accessory it blew any one have a idea on whats going on and what to look for and also would the alternator charge with that fuse blown?

Is this fuse a 100a fuse for a battery relocation? If so that's too low of amperage for that. You should use more along the lines of 120a-150a fuse for that. If that's not the case then people are going to need more information to help you out. What fuse is it? What does it control? It sounds like power is grounding out somewhere. Is your electrical system OEM? Hacked up? Tucked? Those questions are kind of irrelevant but any information helps.

From a quick search I found that only the s14 has a 100a fusible link so you must have an s14. And a common occurence is that the alternator is going bad and grounding out. Some have replaced it and the problem went away. You seem to have unknown alternator issues too. So it's probably that. I'm not sure how much I can help with limited info and owning an s13 not an s14, but if you give more info or check some things I'm sure others can help. As I said a quick google search told me that and if other members of forums can do it you can too. I know everyone says that but try doing your own research next time before asking others to.

I have a wiring specialties harness and it's my main fuse for like power windows interior/brakes all that good stuff

You sure you're using the right alternator or have it set up correctly?

100 amps is way more than the rest of the car will use, during full load. Only the battery >> starter during starting, and only the alternator >> battery have that much load at one time. You might have a problem if your main fuse is blowing, only if your starter and alternator don't go through that same fuse. If they do, you need a larger fuse.

so when i hooked up my alternator i have the main plug then the power wire then the ground.. then i also have a breaker set up that has my battery cable going to one side then the 2 wires coming from the fuse box giving that power then i have a starter wire that goes to the breaker then i was also told to run the main power wire that was the original positive terminal to breaker

Not sure if you are the one who I helped out with on the phone or not but, did your plastic cap break on your alternator by chance? If so then you would have grounded out your power wire as it will touch the alternator directly causing your 100a fuse to blow.

Let us know if this doesnt help as we would be more than happy to try and help you out.

yeah i did talk to you guys but i disconnected the alternator 75 amp fuse and still blows so im not sure if thats the problem

I'm willing to bet the plastic piece is missing from his alternator like in the link I posted above.

You could probably find something at a hardware store. Or post a wtb/ask locals for one.

If that plastic piece is causing the issue get a plastic bottle cap, dill a hole in it big enough to slide over the metal "stud/ bolt" on the alternator. That should be enough to at least let you turn your accessories on, if it doesn't blow the fuse you've found the possible source of your problem. This would only be a temporary fix until you could find that oem cap that you need.
