In the rear you can do that. The front S14 hubs are not rebuildable.

When i got my front five lug hubs, one was ABS one was NON ABS... i swapped out the middle bearing off of a four lugger ABS into a five lugger NON ABS. It worked for me.

Why did you switch it out? ABS hubs are the exact same as non-ABS, they just have a sensor ring on the backside. Unless you have ABS.

You can do that, but it will eventually fail, the S14 hub was designed specifically to not have a replaceable bearing due to cost. There's no gaurantee that it will seat properly and stay seated over time.

As I said, I bought a 5 lug NON ABS hub. My car has ABS. I swapped the ABS ring and bearing from my 4 Lug hub into the NON ABS hub. Unless the shop just swapped the ABS for NON ABS rings, im 99% sure the ring is a part of the bearing and that they swapped the bearings.

Who said that the S14 hub was designed specifically to not have a replaceable bearing due to cost?

Nissan said that. Their parts fiche does not show a separate bearing for the S14 front hub. The S13 front hub is replaceable and available separately.

Sorry for the confusion on the ABS, your post didn't specify whether you had it.

Nissan wont sell just the front hub without the bearings....the hub only comes with bearings pressed in....but im sure u can find some bearing company that would sell u some bearings...

the rear Z32 hub/bearings, however are replaceable, and cost $$$$$$$$$
