ok, i tried searching but the search function totally pwned me lol, anyways, i got a 89 240sx for $60, no engine anyways, i got a p&p SOHC and intake mani for $150, and i have a block. i was wondering if it is possible to easily make 250whp? im not lookin for anything too fast, yet. please help me out or atleast show me a thread that i can use. thanks guys

ok well i know that i need bigger injectors, lower comp pistons, electronics and a turbo back exhaust, but what else would i need.

it would be damn hard and expensive to have 250whp on a n/a 240, if that's what your plans are... a cheaper and easier route would be turbo

wait your talkin bout a sohc and turbo back exhaust, so ur gonna turbo it? but you should just turbo the l200 plus 60 bux is way too much to pay for a 240, they break down all the time.

wait wait wait, my daily driver is a 2001 Saturn L200, i got the 240 for $60 and i just got a new head and intake mani for it. yes i am turboing it. i have a t3 turbo at my house i just need to know if it gonna be under 1000 for the rest of the turbo parts minus the exhaust and ic and piping.

i know right... i think this is the 4th thread in a couple of days. but at least he has a specific target in mind.

are you looking to drift or just have a fun rwd car? if you want to drift i know of an easier set up. what t3 do you have because from what i know of they dont push 250whp. im not positive but pretty sure you can put the dohc head on sohc block so you should really consider that. you could probably find most of the parts your looking for at a junkyard since your not looking for much; injectors, turbo, and interooler could all easily be sourced. lower compression pistons would almost be a waste of money for 250whp, but you wont be happy with that and will upgrade because everyone does. do not ask very general questions on here. they have been discussed time and time again. use the search and be specific and if you still dont know ask then. read more than you speak.

with bigger injectors and good tuning 250 should be pretty obtainable witha T3.
Search on NICO on the KAT board, lots of info.

im actually lookin to have just a nice 240 as a daily driver, i have a saturn right now, but i hate having a car note so i wanna get the 240 running good, then sell my saturn and move out.

You can't have 250 to 1000, period. Unless you get free parts all over the place and ur SOHC is one of those freak KA engine that will run 50hp above all other turbo engine.

If you have no clue as how to get to 250whp, just get a sr swap and have someone install it. You won't get 250, but it'll be a lot easier and a whole lot less time and headaches. In the end, It'll prob be close or cheaper than piecing all of it together. It's a bad sign if you have no idea how to make that much hp and your internet searching skills are lacking..
