Go to the links. Go to myoilshop.com. Buy your oil. Enter in the dealer code for Red Line Oil (10%-off dealer code 675421). Do the fluid change yourself.

this has been discussed in a few threads. dont use synthetic oil for you kaaz diff. they coat the discs and cant be cleaned unless you do a full rebuild. it wont engage/disengage as smooth as it should. Either buy some tomei/kaaz oil or go get some castrol 80W90(or whatever non-synthetic Gl-5 you want) , and put a tube of Ford limited slip additive which you can pick up from your local Ford dealer.

I did notice a difference between the regular redline and the NS. The NS dosn't seem to break down as easy. You cant beat redline oils and they are cheap compared to the KAAZ oil. (Nismo diffs are made KAAZ)

haha no they arent. kaaz makes tomei not nismo and if you have a KAAZ lsd you DONT USE SYNTHETIC OIL (such as redline) kAAZ USA has verified that MANY TIMES. dont use it! nismo is ok with syn oil though. |

you actually thirded it. dousan seconded it. and the creator of this thread chose to ignore my advice not to use synthetic oil. maybe he's a dousan fanboy and he will listen now that dousan said it.

That's true. I was too slow on the reply. Anyway, the thread starter has a nismo in which case he's okay with synthetic, but the character, "Zachary" believes that Kaaz makes Nismo diffs.

Now I know this probably seems like a dumb question, but what should I use for a non-LSD diff. It there is alittle noise I hear from the rear end, and I figure changing the oil can't hurt. I the FSM suggests 80w90, should 75w90 be ok?

75w-90 works BUT you don't need anything fancy for open differential. You can just use regular 80w-90 from Autozone/Kragen/Pepboys.

Ok. I might just do that, I just want to use nice stuff when I do it, but if it won't make a difference, just might use the regular stuff |
