Does the fan controller still runs the fan (to cool down when it still hot) after turning off the ignition key?

The way I had everything wired up they would stay running if the key was in ACC. If I remember correctly they would shut off once the key was fully removed even if the car was still idling on the turbo timer. Can't remember for sure tho. Im sure it could be wired up to stay on with the turbo timer.
