![]() alright im having a bit of car troubles. i bought a new battery about 2 days ago put it in and it worked fine. now today i go to start the car and it wont start! now after thinking about it i brought the problem down to 2 different options that either my alternator is not working or there is a short in the car.
now when i first installed the battery i checked the alternator by turning the car on with the battery plugged in then i unplugged the negative terminal from the car and it still ran fine. so because of this im assuming the alternator is still working fine. the other option which is a short i have no clue how to check so if someone can tell me a way to check for electrical shorts in my car that would be great. thanks edit: i was just thinking about this and i remembered one more piece of info that i forgot to put in. when i turn the key to turn the car on i hear a clicking sound and the clock and other electronics in the car all go off(like the lights, clock, etc).
