vacuum lines, purge fuel tank HELP PLEASE

i have been having some trouble with the vacuum lines and where everything should go. when i got the sr installed, there was a large hose going into the larger nipple on the intake manifold going back into a tank that says "purge fuel tank". there is also another hose coming out of the fuel tank.
when i was trying to install my bov, boost gauge, and boost controller, a buddy of mine told me alot of people dont use those fuel tanks and suggested i should take it off to use the nipple that hose is going in from it for my other parts. right now, this is the way i have all the vacuum lines set up:
on the intake manifold there is 2 nipples, on the left smaller nipple, the boost controller line plugged in. on the right larger nipple, i have the boost guage, bov, and fpr plugged into.
the purge fuel tank has 2 vacuum lines coming out of it, one of them is plugged off and the other one is going into a nipple coming out of the throttle body.
the problem right now is that when i try boosting more, it wont boost. the highest i got it to go is 8 psi, i dont know what the problem is, but i have turned the knob and its not making a difference. i have a greddy profec type-s boost controller. the other problem i am coming across is the engine dieing. whenever i gun the car and let off the gas, the engine shuts off. i was thinking maybe its because of that fuel tank being taken off.

if anyone can tell me the way they set up there vacuum lines for there bov, bc, fpr, and boost guage, and how they connected that purge fuel tank or took it off or not, i would really appreciate it. Thanks.
