JB weld strong enough?

How strong you think JB weld is? I just recieved this glass zenki headlight that I brought, and the entire bracket is fucked up but the glass cover is PERFECT. I wonder if I should just swap the bracket or should I JB weld it up.

i haven't had good results with jbweld. maybe i just use it on shit that it's not supposed to be used on. i jbwelded aiv and egr plugs, but they melted
then i jbwelded some plastic and it broke after 2 weeks. oh well.

i guess i just can't remember all the times it worked. kinda like how the news never reports how many airplanes landed safely, just the ones that crash

Yes it is. I have used it on Silvia headlights. It will do just fine. Be sure to clean the area real well prior to sticking it together and be sure to use plenty of the gooy gray stuff.

BTW- Anytime I fix a plastic crack with JB or epoxy I try to lay another piece of something with it to span the crack seam.

Make sure both areas are clean and a light sanding to rough it up a little helps too. I've rebuilt dash pieces using JB, it works fine if you mix/apply it right.

My brother cracked his tranny plug hole on his prelude and we JB welded it back together and it held all the way up until he sold his car. Although, he did sell the car with a extra tranny.
