Does anyone know what drifting really is?!  Whats the difference between drifting and powerslideing?

Would a Moderator PLEASE close this thread before people go postal? Myself included...

Being a newbie is fine, we all were there at some point.  But there's a drifting thread on almost every page! Doesn't take much effort to just check the boards a little before posting, yes the search is broken, but there are SOOOO many threads; at least 1 per page on: Drifting (or "drifting"), s13/s14 ichi-go conversions, SR20 swaps, and the notorious, "How much horsepower will I have if I....."
GRRARRR!!!

I know what drifting is.... but the last explination i put up, people complained about their brains farting or something.
