s14 s14 SR tranny problem

hey guys. got a problem with my tranny. one day just drive along..and took a turn and as i let go of the clutch..a loud clocking sound coming from under the shifter. as i notice now..if have the clutch down ...no sound at all..but as i let the clutch out it start clicking and clocking loud(like metal knocking) either in neutral or in gear. any idea what this could be?? oh yeah i already took the tranny out and did new clutch and flywheel and t.o.b already and noise still there soo it's the tranny for sure. i did the clutch and all first because the clutch was all the way down and was hoping it's not inside the clutch.
if any of you guys have any idea what it could be ..please give me some input..thanks
oh yeah would my KA tranny be compatible with my s14 SR motor??? does it bolt up directly?
thanks
-steven

Sounds like inputshaft bearing or something but then again I don't really know what a "clocking" sound is.
