![]() I put my car in the shop with the plans of finishing the 5 lug swap today and did the front with no problems. The rear on the otherhand is a diffrent story. I got the 5 lug hubs and some R32 Malakas calipers and rotors. The problem is not putting them on but getting the ebrake to work. The rotors are very fat and look like the R32 uses both disks an drums in one on the rotor????? : Even if i get the Z32 e-brake lines, i dont think that there is a place to bolt them on???? Please explain the whole Z32 e-brake procedure cause the rotor is like a regular rotor, but the hab part sticks out and the inside of the rotor next to the hub is also shiny. If anyone has done this please tell me now cause i really dont want to put my stock rotors and brakes in the back. I need to finish this tomorrow. I have seen these on cars, i just dont know what i am missing and how to do it. I know i dont have the Z32 e-brake assembly.
Thanx Tom |

I just spent the last hour searching and found some helpful pics. So the z32 ebrake thing is only the drum part of the brakes and the caliper is for only the pedal??
I searched and I think i understand now but still not a 100% Thanx Tom |

Yup. Caliper uses the normal hydraulics for the brakes and e-brake uses the drums. You can install the e-brake cables later. But make sure to have the z32 dust shield/backing plate to retain the drum set up.

another link/site, but not as detailed, shows you how to use the z32 cables w/o extending/splicing the cables, i did mine like how they did, but i don't think the link's working |

I started doing mine this weekend. Its not that big of a deal to do. But a little more of a labor issue, as there is a lot of crap to do as opposed to the front conversion.
Than again I got the complete ebrake assembly, but the pad were worn out, so I had to actually replace those. No biggie, just labor/time

Almost done. I slaved the whole day in the junkyeard since they said "I aint doin it". The car was on the floor and took a very long time but i got the e brake assembly and the master out of a 300zx. Now i put everything together and now just connected the stock 300zx ebrake lines. I just now need to figure out a way to mount them and tension them. Here take a look at my 240sx Type R LOL

Mine is still not done.
I need to remove the stock rear brake line, but need a 10mm flare wrench, cuz my regular was slipping. Than I went to DDC, and I didn't really wanted to mess with it after. But going to finish up today ![]()

Are the Yanack ones a full cable? Or is it just an extension? I got some from JP that were just an extension that pops on to the z32 cable, but they weren't even bolt on. I had to make my own custom mount to hold the cables, so they were properly tensioned. The idea came from some guy on freshalloy that made a proper mount for his cables, so I believe pictures are floating around there somewhere too.

when i had to make my own mounting brackets for the z32 lines, i just cut the rubber part off the s13 ebrake cables to take the bracket out and put them on the z32 ones, i'd show pics but i dont' have my own cam, didn't wanna make any custom brackets, got lazy, but hey it works just fine
