Well, I'm about to order Redline MT-90 75W90 oil for my 5spd tranny and LSD.
Should I use regular or synthetic for tranny? How about LSD?
The nissan (owners) manual doesn't say anything about how much to put in. How many quarts should I order for each? Also, How do I put it in? I haven't looked closely yet so I'm assumeing I will see were to drain it, but I have no clue where to add the oil. Hopefully this will help my problems with 3rd gear but its about time to do it anyway.

Why tell them I have a 300zx rear?
Did it make a big difference in the smoothness of your shifting?

Edit: and who's "them"? You mean myoilshop or a nissan dealer? Maybe I'll stop by the local nissan dealer today and just ask them, they have FSM's they can look at

Well, that was simple. I should have done that in the first place. Dealer said, 3qt in tranny ~2.5qt in LSD use synthetic in both. After talking to the nissan dealer and reading most of redline's tech information, I think I'm going to go with 3qt 75W90 synthetic gear oil for LSD and 3qt MT-90 (non synthetic 75W90) for tranny. So for 6qts its $42-10%(thanks WeST! )+$6.76S&H=$44.56. Kinda expensive, really hope this helps 3rd gear.
