I'm mad, and i'll make this quick. I plugged in the wires to my new sidemarkers, and they worked. I put silicon on my new lights and slid them into place, but now NONE of my 4 sidemarkers work. Do they have their own fuse, or what could the problem be? Please  help ASAP!

Dude that sucks! It's hard to say. I would get a curcuit tester, one of those pens that lights up if you put it next to a 'hot' wire and trace the wires back until you find power. Can you pop the lights out and look at them again? good luck!

What kind of side markers are they the mercedes ones or just other aftermarket ones? Are they clear?

I found out the problem. Turns out that the 2 metal disconnects were touching each other, causing my fuse to burn out (the sidemarkers are wired into the tail light fuse). I put tape between the 2 disconnects and VOILA!

PS: Yes, they are the mercedes lights.... i had to grind one of them down for a good hour, took me about 3 hours to install the one light.

yah i had the same problem...wired them all up, ready to leave, and none of them light up...yah they were touching, so there went my fuse.  i did them for the rear also, but they do not fit as well and i had to silicone them up real good.  also my reverse lights dont work now, blinkor you should check yours. late

Why don't yours work? Have you fixed them?

i have no idea why the reverse dont work.  I have checked all fuses, and it is odd for both of them to go out at the same time...but i think it has something to do with the fuse going out on the sidemarker install.  Dont we have a reverse sensor or something on our trannys?  Even though i dont think that had any reason to go out, its worth a try.

They are sidemarkers for a Mercedes ML 320. Go to a mercedes dealer and ask for part #163 820 01 21. You'll need 2 of these, they come individually boxed and cost about $6 US per light.

I'll make a long story short. They're way too big to fit into the stock sidemarker holes so you can either:
A) File down the stock sidemarker holes (not recommended)
B) Grind down the sidemarkers with a dremel hand held tool or a bench grinder; sand paper will NOT work.

Here's what they look like installed:
