Ahhh Crap more Projector Questions

Ok, so I hate to ask and bring down thr rath of the flamers, but a few months ago I saw a thread that explained how to Aim youe projectors so they went up and to the right instead of up and to the left. I know that the info has been posted here (hmm or maybe it was Fresh Alloy) and I think I even posted in the thread but after a coulpe hours of searching for it I got nothing. Well I got the Stop searching so much thing, but no info.

Now, from what I remember I think I need to seperate the glass but after that I'm not sure what I'm Looking for, throw a guy a bone.

specificly the dual S-13, but the general idea is the same on most of them. Some where there is a plate or somthing that makes the light go up and to the left. I want a little info before I just go haphazzardly go ripping open my lights.

So far I know I should either buy a heat gun or throw them in the oven to pull the outer lense off but after that it gets Hazy.

I posted this question on several forums but still nothing. Someone has to have addressed this issue. I'm just hopping for either some hand-holding instructions, some half assed directions or som informational pics. Nudity is fine also.

thx

I saw your post and decided to share where where I am at in the project and where I have stalled.

Safety Warning/Disclaimer
This is not the be all end all way of doing things, it's just the way I accomplished what I have done. If you choose to follow in my footsteps do so at your own risk and always use the applicable safety devices and common sense. I accept no responsibility for your stupidity.

Tools youre going to need
1. Small Dental Pick
2. Oven
3. Flat Head screwdrivers or Butter Knifes (butter knifes preferred)
4. Two oven mitts
5. Cookie Sheet
6. Assorted sized cross-head screwdrivers (phillips)
7. A place to work with extremely hot items, I used a cutting board.
8. Common sense

Steps
1. At your oven move the rack to the middle shelf and Preheat it to 400ºF
2. Gently pry off the 4 tabs found on your headlight (2 on top, 2 on bottom) The dental pick works best for this job
3. Once your oven is at 400ºF turn it off and immediately place your light inside on top of the Cookie Sheet.
4. Close the door and wait 10 minutes
note The next few steps are time critical, if you take too long you will have to start over
5. After 10 minutes don those oven mitts and remove your light from the oven and place it on a workspace that is thermally safe ie wont melt.
6. Starting at the BOTTOM of your light place your butterknife inside the seem where the glass meets the plastic and gently pry using gradually more force until the glass begins to separate from the plastic. If the plastic just bends or the glass will not budge then you may not have heated the light long enough for the adhesive bond to break down and you will have to start over back at Step 1.

Warning You can overcook your lights, and misshape the plastic if you place the lights in too much heat or for too long. I highly stress to use as little "cooking" as necessary and attempt to use a little brute force to break down the adhesive bond, just take care not to use so much force that you will bend the hot plastic out of shape

7. Once your light is separated leave it set to cool off until it is cool to the touch (roughly 20 minutes) and then take it to a safe work area. Take great care not to scratch the glass or the reflectors.
8. Using a cross-head screwdriver, remove the "chrome" trim panel from inside the light by removing the two top screws and "popping" the bottom off.
9. Adjust your headlight using the two exterior screws on the back of the light until you projector literally falls out into your hands.
10. From there remove the "blocking plate" on the light and figure out where to go.

I have a fully dissassembled light on my workbench at the moment and I am brainstorming how to go about changing the blocking plate over. At this time I do not see how it is possible to alter the current one, and unfortunately I suspect I will have to make my own. I am not in any way comfortable messing with the optics of the light and am concerned that I will do a godawful job. If anyone know's where to go from here I would greatly appreciate it!

Respectfully
Radhaz

I know this thread is old but did anyone ever fix the RHD beam pattern by modifying or custom making a plate?

Pictures?

Thanks.

I talked to one shop and found it to be cost prohibitive and put the project on hold.
