Project Desert Storm is gone... But, a two-tone JDM tyte Doc takes its place

Sold the Desert Camo S13 last week, but kept the wheels for the Doctor (as in DR30, Doctor 30, get it? No? Whatever!):

Picked up this thing today, a legalized DR 30 1983 Nissan Skyline RS Turbo, powered by the 190 hp FJ20ET. So far, just kg/mm springs, KYB shocks and exhaust. Recaro buckets, meshies, harnesses go in next week, then a cage and an FMIC (to get to '84 210hp model level)... Hopefully.

And now, presenting the Doctor:

And of course, it decided to break down on me within 20 minutes of ownership. The untied battery decided to grenade itself...

hehehehehe, I know how that car was done. I know where it came from hahhahahhha, I was offered that car, long before vadim saw it.
Now, the car I want is a 77 ken Mary Skyline.

77 isn't gonna work ... Those are C210. You want a C110 ('72-'76) KenMary.

For those who haven't met them, the infamous Ken and Mary from the Skyline ads:

Trust me, if I could get one, I'd get one as well . The guy who sold me the DR30 is picking up a C110 KenMary to replace it... And its 4 times the price of the R30. Then again, he has a RENNtech S600 as his daily driver, so I'm sure he can afford it .

honestly, I wouldn't pay more for the skyline than I would for any other early 80's beater. Don't get me wrong, I really like the boxy style, and the interior is much more to my liking vs the 240, but if he paid more than $4000 for it, then I just hope he likes it and appreciates the uniqueness of such a vehicle, I personally could not justify that over many other vehicles above $4000. From what I've come to understand, the r30's and r31's are cheap as dirt in japan, so come two years and they will be over here in the states just like the r32's in canada...even with an importing markup it should be relatively inexpensive.

Actually, the R30 is a cult car in Japan (much like the GC10/100 and C210 Skylines), and a decent example of an RS-Turbo or RS-X can fetch mid-to-high $20k prices.

So the car isnt legalized, it's registered. Why is the difference between these two terms so confusing to some people?
