Please help! n00b rims question!

I can get this set of rims cheap.. about $200 for the set... they are STERN rims and have a 4x114.3 Lug pattern (I have an s13) and are 17x7" with a +43 offset

<img src=http://img355.imageshack.us/img355/6872/1232634bx.jpg>

now... what is the deal with the offset? from what I understand having an offset that big sucks on a 240? why? how would it look bad? can you use spacers? and how much would a set of spacers cost? Thanks for any help you can give me!

Those are pizza cutter wheels. 7" wide is crap on a 17" diamter. Personally, I wouldn't run anything less than 9" wide on a 17" wheel. As for the offset, those wheels are designed for a honda accord or other FWD cars. They will have no lip or sunken face. If you do decide to buy those wheels, you are going to need 30mm bolt-on spacers to make it look half decent and that will run about $200 for all four. The width is what is killing it for me. You're best bet is to find some other wheels. There are plenty deals to be found.

Dude, I have 17*7s on mine, and at this point that is plenty. Just need a good set of sticky tires. I think those wheels are sweet looking. Bolt one on and see how it looks. I dont know about offset, but you can do some spacers if you need to.

PERFORMANCE wise, you probably would want more than 7, because a 7 only fits what, up to a 205, 215 normally (Safely)?

hey, high offset adds high power. Makes sense.

the offsets suck, but for 200 bucks you can't really complain, especially if they have usable tires on 'em.

performance wise, he probably wants smaller & lighter wheels, because he probably has a stockish ka24. 17x7 is kind of a gay size in that respect.
