my friend has a 95 240sx and just got a 6 puck clutch.
everything else is stock. But when i changed his clutch, (i work at a shop) the other worker saw the flywheels and saw that it was in a bad condition. so we took it to get it resurfaced. then we put everytihng back on together and a week later, me and my friend ran on a street and i lost. i have the exact same car, 95 240sx but a stock clutch and did not get my flywheels resurfaced. alright. yes i know he can change gears faster, but im pretty confident that i can change gears pretty fast even with a stock clutch. so my question is, was it really the flywheel difference in the race or was it something else?
also, i talked to my boss and he said that as of now ill lose, but later when my clutch fits right with my flywheels, ill win since my flywheels are not resurfaced, when my clutch wears out a little bit, theres going to be more surface area where the clutch and the flywheels are going to be touching. is that true? it sounds pretty good.....thanks
