after my accident, someone offered me a raditator, it is fine compression wise (or at lease so far), but there's rust inside. do those "radiator flushthgouht" things really work? or can i just pour CLR in there? will my engine blow up?
and wha's the cons of having a rusted radiator?

First of all there are things worse than a rusted radiator, ie. hemmroids and a blown engine. But to the problem at hand. There are shops that specialize in radiators. They would be the best ones to recondition the radiator. Now, maybe I'm being too sensitive about this, but I had a head gasket blow on my honda civic because the thermostat stuck closed. One possible cause for that would have been a dirty coolant system. Try to find a better radiator, unless you have exagerated the rusty condition-- If it is just slightly brown thats different than rusty in my opinion.
Hope that helps. Also, aftermarket radiator would be cool. Chuck
