Ok i bought my car about 2 months ago and i am finaly going to be driving it. I don't know if the people i bought it from did the 30k or 60k mile work on the car. It was 64k when i bought it and now it has 65k. I wanted to know what is needed for the 65k tune up and mat. also what might i need to do for the 30k tune and mat that would not be covered in the 60k.
My car is a 1993 240sx coupe with stock ka24de. I plan on changing the trans and diff oil as well as the engine oil/filter and the spark plugs and wires. What plugs and wires would you recommend i get? and is there a better filter then the oem from nissan? thanks drifting240racer

Leme add a quick quesiton to this, is there a tranny oil filter? Went to a shop and he said there was also a filter...wanted $80 to do it all..WTF. Anyway, i'm going to change my tranny oil (finally got a pump & tubes) and need to know if there is a filter I need to change also.
From owners manual: R = Replace I = Inspect (replace if necessary) Drive belts - I Air fliter - R Vapor lines - I Fuel filter - If filter gets cloged replace immediately Engine coolant - R (replace every 30,000 miles) Engine oil - R Engine oil filter - R Spark plugs - R (Use PLATINUM-TIPPPED type) Intake & exhaust valve clearance - If valve noise increases, inspect valve clearance Brake lines & cables - I Brake pads & discs - I Tranny & differental oil - I (how the hell do you inspect this? just replace...lol) Steering gear & linkage, axle & suspension parts - I Exhaust system - I Air bag - inspect after 10 years (test by crashing into a wall at speeds over 25mph <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=' ![]() Book didn't say much about spark but in addition to plugs I've been told to change wires, rotor and distributer cap also. 4,000more miles for me to hit 60k <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'> Edit: everything done at 30 is redone at 60, so if they didn't do it at 30 it'll got done for 60 (or 65 in your case)
