From what I've been told, to check whether the car has LSD or not, I can simply jack the car up, spin one wheel and if the other wheel is spinning at the same direction then it's got a LSD, if the other wheel is spinning at the opposite direction, that means it a open diff.
Now that I've got a S15 diff in front of me, I spinned one half shaft, the other one actually spinned at the opposite direction.

Does it sound right for a helical LSD diff?
Or anyone can give me website talks more about helical LSD?
Any help would be appreciated.
