Question '87 Z31 Turbo Tranny question

I just picked up a 87' 300zx, automatic, with the 3.0L Turbo engine. Tranny is blown. I'm getting conflicting information about what tranny will fit on this thing. Will the auto out of a '87 N/A 300zx work with this thing or is it actually a different tranny? I was also told that this particular chasis engine combo wasn't available with a manual (by the ex-owner), which I think is bullshit but can anyone clarify this for me?

Thanks in advance.

NA gearbox is a 71C like the Schassis, the turbo used a T5 IIRC.

87's don't use the T5... that stopped in 86. 87-89 used a version of the z32 tranny (FS5R30A) with a different bellhousing. There are a ton of 87 300zx turbos in manual. The swap is easy and parts are cheap.

All auto z31's used the same tranny 4n71b.
